Most
of Metallicas fans are aware of the sad death of bassist Cliff Burton,
the
first bassist to play for Metallica. Cliff was killed in a road accident
while
on
a European tour. The band were travelling from Stockholm to Copenhagen
in Denmark for the fourth show of their 1986 tour. Just after they
reached Denmark,
the
tour bus skidded and rammed into a ditch. Cliff was thrown through
a window,
and
was killed as the bud rolled on top of him. Cliff died at the age
of 24...
Our
hearts go out to Cliff, and his family and friends who suffered this tragic
loss...
